From the Editors Desk
The latest change at The Mountaineer is the interactive element of our Web site. It can be accessed by clicking on the bold-lettered words “Mountain Talk” found just beneath the calendar information. First time users need to answer a few simple questions to participate and thereafter, only need to log on.
Mountain Talk will feature blogs from staff members at The Mountaineer
where reporters and others will share more information about a story or
issues they are working on. At times the post will be a question for readers
so we can gather more ideas on a subject, or perhaps we’ll even be
seeking leads to help us further develop a story.
When high school sports heats us this fall, the Sports Zone is bound to
be a popular forum where fans can find the latest scores in the conference
and share thoughts about game highlights.
Loyd VanHorn, music aficionado and lifestyle editor, has started a blog
on the music scene and will also be searching for ideas about lifestyle
stories to feature in The Mountaineer. He will also be including his Son
of Swami predictions on the site.
So next time you are fired up about an article in the paper, don’t
just spout off to your family members or roommates. Go online and share
your views with others.
