We, at The Mountaineer try to do our best to insure unethical business ads are not published in the paper. The following are some tips to avoid being scammed, especially by
FINANCIAL SCHEMES.
*If any offer looks too good to be true, it
probably is.
*Don’t assume that a suit and tie or polished
phone voice makes a person trust-worthy. *Always get full information from a company
before sending any money. Always be wary
of those who refuse to provide information
or an out of country phone number.
*Do not pay processing or service fees in
advance.
*Always request documentation, do not be
pressured and do not disclose financial
information or send money for a special
offer. If you have any questions, or think
